Summary
Join us as we explore the rich historic architecture of two World's Fairs and many of the structures that still exist and have been renovated in this Walk of Flushing Meadows Corona Park, led by licensed tour guide and former AIA Queens Chapter President, Bill Gati, RA, AIA.
As Chair of our Historic Architecture Tours Committee, Bill will lead the group to the Unisphere, the NYS Pavilion, the Tent of Tomorrow, the Queens Museum, the Queens Theater, NYS Hall of Science, and other select gems.
As architects, engineers, and lovers of history, we can learn so much from the styles, materials, and methods of construction. We can also learn how urban planners were able to preserve nature and position structures among some of the most spectacular views and greenery.
